That's one of the main reasons you should take a long look at this "Almost Perfect" Cabin.  Located just 5 miles from Blowing Rock in a private log cabin community, this 3 Bedroom, 2.5 bath (easily sleeps 8) log home is situated on almost 2 acres of lush rhododendron.  Step across the bridge over Laurel Creek, which runs through the property, and you are in Price Park, with its many trails to explore.  You're also within a few miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway and beyond shortly to the Linville Viaduct and Grandfather Mountain.  If skiing is your thing, them Sugar and Beech are only about 30 minutes away, and Appalachian is literally minutes nearby!
    Another important criteria is "access."  This Almost Perfect Cabin is easily reached over completely paved and mostly LEVEL roads, which makes the cabin accessible in almost any type of weather, day or night!  Even the wide gravel driveway is completely level, with ample on site parking.
    You and your entire family will agree that you have selected an Almost Perfect place to relax and recreate as soon as you reach the property.  There is so much to do all around the cabin, both outside and in.  Hiking, skiing, shopping in Blowing Rock, dining at the many fine restaurants, canoeing or kayaking or the kids simply playing in the yard or in Laurel Creek.  You're in the High Country (the cabin is about 3600 ft. Elevation), but "no," there is no view of mountain tops or valleys below.  But you won't be on some property hanging off some cliff either, afraid to turn your children loose.  Views will be discovered all around you, but your Almost Perfect Cabin is a place to come home to, to enjoy the peace and quiet of the woods.
    Inside your cabin you'll find almost everything you would need for that perfect retreat.  A total of 6 High definition TV's, High definition, big screen "smart" televisions are in every bedroom with every channel Directv offers, including Netflix. There is a separate TV viewing area for the adults and the kids, with 2 PS3 Play Stations, and a game area, which includes a pool and air hockey game table for the kids and the adults.  There's a fully equipped, modern kitchen, and all the bathrooms have just been completely remodeled for a spa-like atmosphere.
    Outside you will find a covered outdoor kitchen with a Weber gas grill for those steaks or BBQ dinners.  There is also a fire pit and seating area where the whole family can gather together to enjoy s'mores.   While there are almost no pesty flying bugs to ruin your outdoor fun, there is also a screened porch and a large deck overlooking the gently babbling creek.  And to top it off, there is a large hot tub on the deck with tons of brilliant stars above.

      We just left Almost Perfect after a wonderful week with our kids and grandkids! It was so beautiful and peaceful, my favorite spot was the cozy chair in the screen room early every morning listening to the stream and birds. The kids loved it all inside and out and never wanted to leave! Even though it is mid june we literally needed a blanket to sit outside so were able to enjoy the outdoor kitchen and firepit comfortably!! An easy drive into Blowing Rock or onto the parkway was nice too, but you truly don't want to leave once you are there !! We will be back :)

      This was the PERFECT mountain house! Stayed with a group of 8 and had a fantastic time. Only about 25 mins from Boone and Sugar mountain.

      Happy New Years! It is a beautiful place. So much detail inside and out. The outside reminded us of a Japanese Garden. Thank you ~ Hope we left the house extra clean. We dusted, vacuumed and put all clean sheets on all the beds. We also got so much snow last night! "Fun for all""God Bless"
